Al with Montreal version of Counts Four
Here is a jacket cover from the Montreal version of the Counts Four. Al Ridler the bass player is on top right of image. This record came out just before the 1st Beatles record was released in North America.
Here is a short bio of Al before he created the St. Marc Street Band.
The album was on London Records, album no. eb87,made in the RCA studio in
Montreal.
When the band let me go THEY IMMEDEATLY BECAME THE BELLS ! BEFORE THE
COUNTS 4 I was the bass player with Al Nichols and the Monterays, after
I was with the Count 4s I was with the Green Men for 9 months! Ya I had
green hair in 1965! In 66 I was in a folk rock group called the Six
Foot Sound of Marty Shannon , then a trio called Jim and Stan +One, I
was the one! This trio became The Faculty ,a lounge group, after that I
went underground and formed the St. Marc Street Band.
